What a wealth of information about the Jaguar! What ever happened to the Jaguar M prototype? There is one other possible reason for the cancellation of the Jaguar M in favour of the Super Etendard. The spool-up time for the 2 Adour turbofan engines of the Jaguar M was long for a carrier aircraft responding to a bolter (hook misses all arresting wires). Typically turbojets spool-up significantly faster than turbojets. If true, that would be an on-going day-to-day concern even more than the alleged deficiency in single engine out performance for the Jaguar M. Just a thought. Jenny Thank you for a great site.
