XX116 has had a long and distinguished career serving with 6 Squadron RAF Coltishall During her operational service XX116 was upgraded from a GR1A to a GR3A, more powerful engines, upgraded electronics and weaponry. XX116 saw active service in both Gulf Wars as a medium level strike aircraft. In June 2005, XX116 was one of 27 aircraft that took part in a fly past over Buckingham Palace in celebration of the Queens Golden Jubilee, the largest fly past since 1991. XX116 was decommissioned at RAF St Athan before being transported to MoD FSCTE.
