SEPECAT Jaguar in detail , Welcome on www pages devoted to the British version of strike aircraft SEPECAT Jaguar. Single seat all-weather attack aircraft RAF Jaguar GR3A is single-seat attack and reconnaissance aircraft. Jaguar is the oldest of the RAF's frontline jets, arrived in 1974 (Jaguar GR1). Based on RAF Coltishall in Norfolk until April 01, 2006.
The Jaguar is expected to be operational until at least 2007.

The Jet age is covered in great detail including the Meteor, Venom, Javelin and of course the Lightning era.
Other chapters include the BBMF, Search and Rescue and the final Jaguar period which includes the Gulf War One operations. Bonus chapters also coverthe satellite airfields of Matlaske and Ludham and eight detailed appendices chart commanding officers, squadrons based and aircraft used plus a station history time-line.

…..XW563 was the gate guardian at RAF Bruggen from October 1985 to August 2001. Following RAF Bruggen’s closure the aircraft was moved to RAF Coltishall where it was unveiled on 14 September 2001 by the station commander…..

“The cockpit in RAF Jags were matt black and satin black on the kick pannels, this was evident on all marks Gr1 Gr1a Gr1b Gr3 GR3a T2 and T4 from my knowledge and many of my work mates ex Jaguar all say the same they have never seen a grey cockpit, some of which have 15years plus on jaguar, also from the same people I asked few came back and said the only Jaguar they have seen with a grey cockpit was from a longtime ago in an OMANI Jaguar. The black is to aid the Night Vision properties of the cockpit.”
